Private graveside services for Dorothy Jerene Williams Anderson, age 95, of Sulphur Springs were held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2015 at Restlawn Memorial park with Rev. Hans Wakeman officiating. Mrs. Anderson passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Anderson was born on July 24, 1920 in Hopkins County, and grew up in the Reilly Springs and Union Community and was the daughter of Lester “Lep” Williams and Edna Reasonover Williams. She married H. B. Anderson in January of 1949 and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Anderson was the manager of the lunch room at Miller Grove ISD and also drove a bus, then managed the lunch room at Sulphur Springs High School before she retired. Mrs. Anderson was also a member of the Divide Baptist Church where she served as the church clerk for many years. Mrs. Anderson had a servant’s heart and loved the Lord and her family. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Hatcher of Sulphur Springs and great-grandson, Benjamin Doc Hatcher. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Mike Hatcher, grandson, Matthew Hatcher, brother, Richard Williams and sister, Lee Delgato.
