Unfortunately, it was Era's brother (Iler Ferguson) that killed Hume in 1964. It was over a crop dispute. Iler Ferguson was known for his temper. It was something his parents tried to conquer while he was still a child. The argument began over land, that had been left to Era and Iler by their parents. They had different ideas on what to do with it.
