Harold Richard Anderson, age 91, passed away on October 11, 2013 at St. Mark's Hospital in Millcreek Township.

He was born February 14, 1922 in Lehi, Utah, the son of Carl Richard Anderson and Susie Bradley. He graduated from Lehi High School and attended LDS Business College.

He married Mildred Smith Ellis in 1955 and helped raise her two daughters. Later in life, he re-married Diana Anabo Bybee, and became a part of the lives of her two daughters.

Harold was a professional shoe buyer, salesman and manager for most of his life, working for Auerbachs, Joske's, Meier and Frank, Johnston and Murphy, Stride Rite, Huggins Shoes, Amen Wardy, and Neiman Marcus.

He received many professional awards for his outstanding service. Following a debilitating stroke in 2007, his greatest desire was to return to work in the shoe business.

He served as a temple worker in the Los Angeles Temple for four years, and after retirement lived in Modesto, California, and later West Jordan and Midvale, Utah. His greatest service in life was his loving care of his two families.

Harold was preceded in death by his father, Carl; mother, Susie; step-father, John Hillier; and sister, Geraldine Hinkle. He also lost his first wife, Millie, and is survived by his current wife, Diana; her two daughters, Leisl (Kendall) Simmons and Phoebe (Jeff) Call; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-daughters, Diane (Mel) Weight and Joylene (Jim) Chipman; five additional grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanne Bond; and sevennieces and nephews and their families.
