Funeral services were in the First Baptist Church with the pastor, Dr. W. L. Holcomb, officiating. Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Mrs. Anderson, wife of B. L. Anderson, local insurance agent, was a member of one of Winnfield's oldest business families. She was a sister of the late H. T. Pye, one of the founders of the Bank of Winnfield, and her husband has been in the insurance business here for many years. Born March 2, 1878 in Texas,
she had lived here more than 50 years.
Survivors are her husband, B. L. Anderson; one son, Glenn Anderson of Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. Letitia Lee of Winnfield; four brothers, P. G. Pye of Leesville; J. G. Pye of Harlingen, Texas; H. H. Pye of DeRidder, and A. E. Pye of Pecos, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Davis of Shreveport; one step brother, J. E. Dutton of Mount Lebanon; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
