C. J. Anderson, retired Boiler employee, dies.

Charles J. Anderson, 77, of 619 Roosevelt Ave., an employee of Kewanee Boiler Corp. for 50 years, died at the St.Francis hospital today.

He was born in Sandby, Skone, Sweden on January 14, 1874 and he came to Kewanee in 1891. He was a foreman of the shipping department at Kewanee Boiler plant, retiring in 1946.

Charles married Agnes A. Winberg on October 16, 1897. He is survived by sons, Alvin F., Clyde Jefferson of Kewanee, and Carl Gunnard of Galva. His daughters were Leona Anderson, Lenna Swanson and Evelyn Scott. He had 4 grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Nels and a sister Marie in Sweden and a sister, Mrs. C. V. Youngfelt of Kewanee, Illinois. Two brothers and one sister are dead.

The funeral service will be held at Seifert and Smith funeral home. He attended the Mission Covenant church. Burial will be in Pleasant View cemetery.
