The Work Of Death
Mrs. Alice Virginia Anders, a well known resident of this city, died in York, Pa., yesterday evening after an illness of one week from pneumonia. Mrs. Anders had been visiting the family of Mr. Harry Saylor, at York, for the past six weeks and was taken sick on Wednesday last. She was the widow of Caleb A. Anders, who died in Martinsburg, W. Va., where they had lived for many years.
Mrs. Anders was the eldest daughter of Charles W. and Sarah Preston Haller, deceased. A grandson and a granddaughter residing in Pittsburgh survive her. She was a sister to the Misses Annie, Eliza and Jessie Haller and Mrs. Charles B. Tyson, this city.
The body will be brought to this city this evening and will be taken to the home of her sisters, 216 East Church street The funeral will take place on Friday at 1 o'clock. Rev. Henri L. G Kieffer, pastor of the Evangelical Reformed church, of which the deceased was a member, will conduct the services. Interment will be made in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Thomas P. Rice has charge of the arrangements Friends are requested to omit flowers.
