HELEN ANDEREGG Died following a massive brain hemorrhage on October 10, 2004, in Roseville, CA, with her loving family at her side. She was 82 years old. Born on June 10, 1922, in Ziegler, IL, she and her family moved to Oakland, CA in the 1930's. Helen married Alfred (Bill) Anderegg in 1941 and had three sons. They later relocated to Hayward and eventually to South Lake Tahoe, where they planted roots in 1964. More recently, Helen relocated to an active senior retirement residence in Roseville to be closer to her family. Helen worked for many years at Kellogg's of San Leandro in Quality Control. Once settled in South Lake Tahoe, she worked at Barney's Casino and later retired from Harvey's Hotel and Casino where she worked for many years in the gift shop, where she made many close, lifelong friends. Helen was a woman of all seasons. She made friends easily and never met a stranger. Helen loved to socialize and helped lead "the Laughter Club" where neighbors shared jokes and laughs. She loved to cook and throw parties but she was especially known for her baking - cookies, breads, muffins. Besides baking and entertaining, Helen's hobbies included, playing Kismet with her sister, gambling and watching Wheel of Fortune, where she always guessed the puzzles long before the contestants. Helen looked forward to attending Kellogg's reunion dinners ever year where she met up with longtime friends. She will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know such a wonderful woman. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred and sons, James and David. She is survived by loving companion, Robert Nivirson of Roseville; sister, Katherine Cikoch of San Leandro; brother, Henry Sekoch and sister-in-law, Sandy Sekoch of Lincoln; sister-in-law, Elsie Anderegg of Roseville; son, Kenneth Anderegg and daughter-in-law, Shirley Anderegg of Newark and granddaughters, Kristen Anderegg of Sacramento and Erin Anderegg of Phoenix, AZ. Services will be private. Memorial donations in Helen's name can be made to Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) El Dorado Enrichment Fund www.casaeldorado.org, 530-573-3072.
