Lee Center - Adolph C. Anderegg, 87, a former Town of Lee Supervisor and one of the top Holstein breeders in Central New York, died Saturday after being stricken while working on his farm on the Stokes Westernville Road.

Mr. Anderegg operated a farm in the Town of Lee for 11 years before selling it in 1929 and moving to Lee Center. He was then supervisor for the town for 16 years. He also served two years as country commissioner of jurors.

Later he moved to his present address and continued to operate his farm until his death.

He was a member of several farm organizations and won many awards for his dairy herds.

A native of Berne, Switzerland, he was born Oct. 16, 1886, son of Melchior and Katherine Abbuhl Anderegg. He came to this country with his family in 1889 and settled north of Delta Village in the Town of Western.

He attended schools in Western and then Valparaiso and Cornell Universities. On April 11, 1918, he married the former Annabel Evans in the Lee Center Methodist Church with the Rev. Arthur Meyers officiating.

He was a 50-year member of the Baron Steuben Masonic Lodge and the Lee Center Methodist Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs.John (Marcia) Goff, New Hartrofrd, two sons, Gerald Anderegg, Stokes-Westernville Road, and Lewis Anderegg, Turin Road, Town of Lee, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a cousin, Mrs. Robert Schallenberg, Westernville.

Mr. Anderegg was the last of a family of nine children.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Prince & Boyd Home for Funerals with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Stokes.
