WILLIAM A AMOS is the son of Civil War Veteran John E Amos and Mary McIlroy Amos. John E Amos came to Randolph County from Jefferson City, Missouri during the 1800's. William married Parthena Haynes in 1897 in Randolph County, Arkansas. They had 5 children: Durell Amos, James Guy Amos, Chris Stell Amos, Clyde (Cotton) Amos and Eva Amos. Will went to his rest at the age of 34 from pneumonia and is resting in Masonic Cemetery, Pocahontas, Randolph County, Arkansas.
