WORTHINGTON, Iowa - Loretta C. (Huber) Ament, 88, of Worthington, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Worthington, with the Rev. Florian Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a Rosary Society rosary at 4 p.m., and a parish scripture service at 7 p.m.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1911, in Fillmore, daughter of Joseph W. and Gertrude (Kremer) Huber,
She married Harold H. Ament on April 16, 1932, at St. John Catholic Church, Delhi. They farmed in the Earlville and Worthington areas.
She graduated from Xavier High School, Dyersville, class of 1928. She was a member of the St. Paul Rosary Society and was past president of the Worthington Senior Citizens Club. She was a great card player.
Suruviving are her husband, Harold; a son, Tom (Joan) Ament, of Dyersville; three daughters, Verna (Al) Geistkemper, of Savanna, Ill., Norma (David) Simmons, of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Lois Ament, of Fullerton, Calif.; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Cyril Huber.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque.
