Arthur J. Alvey, 60, of 5603 Morning Glory Lane, died at 2:35 a.m. Saturday [April 10, 1971] at Veterans Hospital. A native of Grayson Co., KY, he was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired restaurateur. Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Alvey; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Burton, Mrs. Joyce Rust and Miss Lora Alvey; three sons, Thomas, Jackie & Larry Alvey, and 11 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Polycarp Catholic Church, 7718 Columbine Drive, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. The body is at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.

Remains resting at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hgwy. Funeral services Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Polycarp Catholic Church, Columbine Dr. Burial at Louisville Gardens.
