She was born to Severino and Nellie (Montoya) Alvarez in San Fernando, CAlif. Seh attended Sacred Heart Academy and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1949.
In 1949 she married Jose Herrera at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She worked as a job service representative for the Oregon State Department of Employment for 25 years, and was employed at Gottschalks Department Store.
Mrs. Herrera was a member of the St. Pius the Xth Catholic Church, the American Business Women's Association, and a life member of the VFW Post #1383 Auxiliary. She loved her family and she liked to crochet.
Survivors include her husband, Jose, Klamath Falls; son Joe Jerrera, Aurora, CO; daughters and sons-in-law, Belinda and Bob Schweiger, Klamath Falls, Brenda and Val Manuel, Las Vegas; granddaughters, Dianna and Teresa Schweiger, Klamath Falls, and Katelyn Herrera, Malin; sisters, and brother-in-law, Lupe Dunster, Klamath Falls, Rosie and Bob Byrum, Redmond, Vicki and Pedro Lavin, Los Angeles, and Willie Dunster, Klamath Falls; numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, and special friends.
