Funeral services for James Harvey Altman, Jr., 78, will be held at 10AM, Thursday, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Rev. Paul Murphy of First Baptist Church officiating.
Born April 29, 1923 in Hoboken, Georgia, Mr. Altman died Sunday, June 17, 2001 at his home in Jacksonville. Mr. Harvey served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a retired construction contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Vee Altman; a step daughter, Brenda Jackson; a stepson, Michael Fisher; a sister, Mary Dowling; five brothers, Ellis, Aubrey, Kennon, Carrol, and Lamar Altman; and two grandchildren, SyDonna Jackson and Alex Fisher.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6PM until 8PM on Wednesday.
