He was a resident of Palm City, FL for ten years, following retirement from Delta Community College in Bay City, MI where he was an associate professor in the Allied Health Department.
He has been a data liaison for the Florida Department of Children and Families since 2005.
He was predeceased by parents Carl Louis Altenhof and Martha Almeda Altenhof.
He is survived by wife Ruth Ann Altenhof, sister Louisa Hursh of Green Valley, AZ, children Wendy Altenhof of Marysville, OH, Karl Altenhof of Canton, MI, Robert Daniels of Caro, MI and Troy Daniels of Palm City, FL, grandchildren Kassidy and Dakota Daniels in FL and two nieces, three nephews, four grandnieces and four grandnephews all in Michigan.

Visitation will be at 1:00 pm and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 5th, 2007 at All County Funeral Home & Crematory, 101 NW Federal Highway, Stuart, FL.
