Brenda J. Altenburger, 54, of Ottoville, died at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday July 5, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born April 5, 1952, in Lima, to Jerome and Velma (Martin) Altenburger, who survive in Ottoville.
Other survivors include a son, Kyle (Julie Benjamin) Altenburger of Ottoville; a sister, Judy (Mike) Heitmeyer of Ottoville; two brothers, Gary Altenburger of Thailand and Bruce (Sylvia) Altenburger of Delphos; and two grandchildren, Claudia Altenburger and Justyce Van Meter.
Ms. Altenburger worked at Phillips in Ottawa for more than 20 years and then worked at the VFW in Ottoville and Pat’s Donuts and Creme in Lima. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and VFW Auxiliary in Ottoville and the Fort Jennings American Legion Auxiliary. She loved being with her grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Rev. John Stites officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Ottoville.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a parish wake will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to the family.
