Clara was daughter of Noah Judy and Clara Rebecca (Ours) Judy. On 18 Nov 1892 she married John Robert Alt son of Capt. Isaac and Rebecca (Johnson) Alt.

To their union, four children were born; Fred Gerald Alt, Edna Ethel Alt Champ, Olive Susan "Ollie Susie" Alt Carder, and Otho Carl Alt.

She is buried beside her son, Otho. Their funeral was held the same day, over a year after her passing.

In Memory
Mrs. Alice Alt, wife of John R. Alt, of Branch, Pendleton County, departed this life, surrounded by sorrowing friends and relatives, on Sunday, October 26th, at 2:30 p.m. Mrs. Alt was one of the most beloved and respected Christian ladies in this neighborhood, and a loving parent.
She is survived by her husband and four small children. She was married November 15th 1892. God gave to their care those little ones and in the bereavement will care for them. Mrs. Alt had been for a short time a sufferer from consumption, but throughout all manifested a cheerful resignation to the will of her Master and a sublime fearlessness of the last great enemy, death.
This bright light passing out in the very prime of usefulness, naturally casts a solemnity over the vicinity, and especially an almost heartbroken sorrow on her devoted husband and four bright children. She had seen sorrows, having lost two affectionate sisters, some years ago. May her example console and bear a Christian influence on her many friends and especially her family, that they may emulate it, and there by be reunited where sin, sorrow and pain are unknown.
The remains were interred in her father’s burying ground by the side of her two sisters, in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing friends, on the evening of the 28th
