Daughter of Col. Thomas M.C. and Margaret Munford Alston. Cause of death: acute uremia. Her funeral was held on February 17, 1949, at Mitchell Funeral Home with The Rev. M. O. Summers officiating. Her grandsons served as pallbearers. She was survived by three sons; a daughter; two sisters; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and extended family of relatives and friends.
