Mr. Arnold "Dude" Lenaz Alston, age 75, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010, in Gulfport.

Mr. Alston was born in Gulfport to Clarence "C.O." and Della Woodcock Alston in 1935. He was co-owner of Alston Inc. in downtown Gulfport since 1950 and Alston's Antiques since 1980. He was a former member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the MS Gulf Coast Chamber, and the MS Gulf Coast Antique Dealers Association.

He was a member of Pass Road Baptist Church and attended Bayou View Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Alston was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy Clarence Alston, Leslie Orphie Alston, and Walter "Lukey" Glen Alston; and niece, Jennifer Alston.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marilyn Cuevas Alston; children, Kenny Alston (Carleen), Kevin Alston, and Kaye Alston, all of Gulfport; brother, Bobby Alston (Patricia) of Gulfport; sister in law, Vera Alston of Gulfport; grandchildren, Rebecca Craig, Rachel Alston, Ryan Alston, and Brian Alston; and great grandson, Braeden Craig.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may call from 12- 2 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
