Samuel Solomon Alspaugh and Alma Viola Stuckey Alspaugh had an arranged marriage. They were married 10 DEC 1890 in Greencastle, Fairfield, Ohio. They were the parents of eight children, four of whom died in infancy. Otto died of a fever and my father Ray (also ill with the fever) did not know that Otto had died until after Otto had been buried. Grown children were Ray Paul Alspaugh, Leoto (married Gailey Geer), Kenneth Russell Alspaugh, and Viola (married Walter Wagner). I did not know my grandparents but I share Sammy's caffeine "addiction" and love of dogs and Alma's love of cats. I grew up and still live on the property where Sammy and Alma lived.
