Caren L. Alsop, age 32, of New Harmony, died Friday, November 19, 1994 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville. She was a member of the Johnson United Methodist Church, and Alcolholics Anonymous member. She was a nursing student. Burial will be in Mapel Hill Cemetery, with Werry Funeral Home in charge of services. She is survived by her husband James A. Alsop of New Harmony, a son Cortland Alsop of New Harmony, a daughter Erica Alsop of New Harmony, step-son, Kelly Vauple of Crossville, step-brothers, Rev. Ronnie Fellows, of Elberfield, Jackie Meserole, of Evansville, sister, Cynthia McCann of Glennallen Alaska, mother, Barbara Walker of Grayville, and Foster Mother? Deceased Name: Caren Alsop > NEW HARMONY, Ind. - Caren Lorane (Walker) Alsop, 32, died of cancer at 9:25 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. She was a nursing student and a member of Johnson United Methodist Church and Alcoholics Anonymous. Surviving are her husband, James L.; a daughter, Erica L. Alsop of New Harmony; a son, Cortland Alsop of New Harmony; her mother, Barbara Walker of Grayville, Ill.; her father and stepmother, Robert J. and Bonnie Walker of Grayville; a sister, Cynthia McCann of Glennallen, Alaska; a stepsister, Kelly Vaupel of Crossville, Ill.; two stepbrothers, the Rev. Ronnie Fellows of Elberfeld and Jackie Meserole of Evansville; and her grandmother, Jewel Walker of Grayville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson United Methodist Church, with urial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Werry Funeral Home in New Harmony, and from noon until service time Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
