Glen A. Alsobrook, Sr., 74, of Tucker, GA passed away on May 14, 2015. Glen was born at Emory University Hospital on December 28, 1940. After graduating from Decatur High School (1958) and receiving his BA from Emory University (1962) where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, he began his 33 year career with Trust Company Bank of Georgia (later SunTrust Bank). He retired from SunTrust as a VP and Branch Manager in 1995.

He is predeceased by his parents Dr. James M. and Agnes Allen Alsobrook of Decatur, GA. A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elaine; sons Glen A. Alsobrook, Jr. and wife Brandy Alsobrook of Tucker, GA; Joel R. Alsobrook and wife Cindi of Lilburn, GA; and daughter Damaris L. Alsobrook of Tucker, GA; four grandchildren: Sam, Seth, Slater & Sunny Alsobrook. He is also survived by his brother, James M. Alsobrook, Jr.; nephew, David B. Alsobrook and wife, Debbie; niece, Ellen M. Alsobrook; and four great nephews, Stephen and wife Diana, Nolan, Brian, and Evan Alsobrook.

Glen was a faithful servant of his Lord and lifelong member of First Christian Church of Decatur. He loved music and sang in the church's Cherub Choir as a youngster and continued on through the Chancel Choir as an adult. He served the church as Deacon, Elder, Trustee of the Endowment Fund and President of the Christian Men's Fellowship. He also served the General Church in Indianapolis, IN as Chair of the Board of Church Extension. Glen loved his life. He loved gardening and sharing the fruits (or rather, vegetables) of his labor with neighbors and friends. He loved puns and word puzzles, the ocean, and playing golf and bridge. He loved to love and be loved by his family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 23rd at First Christian Church of Decatur 601 W. Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, 30030.
