Mrs. Betty Jo King Alsbrooks, 60, of 1319 N. Jackson Ave., died May 22, 1989, at Humana Hospital-Russellville after an extended illness. A native of Colbert County, Mrs. Alsbrooks was a 40-year resident of Russellville. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Russellville, where she taught a Sunday school for 4- and 5-year-olds for 23 years. Married for 43 years to David Elmo Alsbrooks Sr., she was homemaker. Mrs. Alsbrooks enjoyed helping people and was a devoted to area nursing homes. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home chapel, Russellville, with burial at Knights of Pythias Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Toole will officiate.
