Mrs. John Almquist of Almelund died at Bethesda Hospital, St. Paul. Thursday, April 1 at the age of 77 years and 15 days. She was born near Almelund, March 16, 1871, was baptized and confirmed in Center City, and was married to John Almquist, October 10, 1900.
To this union 3 children were born, one son Carl and two daughters, Mrs. Marie Carlson and Ester all living near Almelund. There are also 3 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
The family has been members of the Immanuel Lutheran Church for 59 years. Her husband passed away on March 18, 1929. Mrs Almquist had been in poor health for some time but not seriously until Sunday night when she was taken to Bethesda Hospital where she passed away on Thursday.
The funeral services were conducted by Dr. Emil Berqgren at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Monday afternoon. Pallbearers were John Carlson, Walter Wennell, Walter Benson, C. Elmer Johnson, rnie Sellman and John Swanson. Interment at Almelund Cemetery
