Survivors include daughters, Shirley (David) Wiesman and Cindy (Larry) Matthews, both of West Harrison; daughter-in-law, Dr. Elizabeth Thomason of The Villages, Fla.; granddaughters, Linda Shelly Scannell of Baton Rouge, La., and Kelly Jaye Strickland of Northport, Ala. She is also survived by her late husband's sons, Paul (Barbara) Almond of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Leslie Almond of Navarre, Fla.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Walter Mark Thomason; husbands, Otis Thomason, Edward L. Adams, and Glenn C. Almond; and 13 siblings.
Geraldine was a long-time resident of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., where she lived after retiring with her husband, Edward, from their sand company in Mossy Head, Fla. Geraldine loved fishing, traveling, reading and playing cards with her friends. She was a member of the Fort Walton Beach Church of Christ and also an active supporter and contributor to Christian Home and Bible School in Mount Dora, Fla.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1, at McLaughlin Mortuary, 17 Chestnut Ave. S.E., Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. A time of visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the service immediately following at 1 p.m., with Bob Rigdon officiating. Burial will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
