Pedro Almanza Jr. Age 79 years entered rest on Sept. 12, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Concepcion L. Almanza, and a daughter Lillian L. Almanza and is survived by sons Pedro C. Almanza III (Sharon), Andres A. Almanza, and Luis D. Almanza (Amelia), daughters, Diane Moran, Mary E. Gonzalez (Carlos), Mariann Leal (Philip), Miranda Garcia (Edgar), 16 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren numerous nieces, and nephews and beloved friends. Mr. Almanza served our country proudly in the U.S. Air Force and was a dedicated member of The Knights of Columbus. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday Sept. 21, 2014 at Alamo Funeral Home with a rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday Sept. 22, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church burial will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
