Virginia Alloway transferred to Heaven to be reunited with her beloved husband, Rev. Henry O. Alloway Jr., on October 7, 2013. They were ministers of the Lord Jesus Christ together for sixty-two years. Virginia was born, youngest of seven to N. E. Clark Sr. and Pearl Clark on June 8, 1927, in Van Texas. She graduated from Van High School, Lon Morris Jr. College and Sam Houston State University in 1951. She played the piano and organ for Van Methodist Church, was President of the College Choir, and well equipped to become a pastor's wife. She also taught school and directed choirs, sang with a strong alto voice.
She was very proud of her family. She is survived by three children and spouses, Ginny Lou and Brian Baker, Orville and Sheila Alloway, Glenn and Connie Alloway. Eight Grandchildren, Barbara (Ron) Gstohl, John B. (Brandi) Baker, Juli (Tommy) Gaskins, Rachel (Russ) Ashcraft, Glenn Clark Alloway Jr., Nathan Baker, Adam Alloway and Amy (Chris) Kelly. Seventeen Great-Grandchildren are Hannah, John, Isaac Baker, Dyllan Cueller, Austin and Lillian Gaskins, Zachary, Julian, and Ginna Ashcraft, Jordan Alloway, Chris and Cory Kelly, Brian, Chris, Lily, Anabella, and Emilia Baker. One Great- Great- Grandson, Leo Baker. One brother, N.E. Clark, Jr. and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive. Family will receive friends between 5 P.M. - 8 P.M. Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Cashner Colonial Chapel, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas, 77303. Funeral Service will be held in Cashner Colonial Chapel, Thursday, October 10, 2013, at 12:30 P.M. with Rev. Brian and Ginny Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
