Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Rebecca Kirby Allmond, age 87, of Twin City, GA on Monday, August 08, 2011, at her residence.
Funeral services are Wednesday, August 10th, at 11 AM in the Twin City First Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Scott officiating.
Interment will be in the Noonday Cemetery near Canoochee, GA
The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 PM.
Pallbearers are Loran Williamson, Carl Faircloth, Emmett Joiner, Jr., Johnny Way, Loy D. Cowart and David Price.
Mrs. Allmond was born in Granite Falls, NC and was an Elementary School Teacher. She was a member of the Twin City First Baptist Church, taught Sunday School for over 40 years and was WMU treasurer. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Darrell Kirby, Truett Kirby and Gene Kirby.

Her Husband of 50 years: Willie Frank Allmond of Twin City, GA
One Daughter and Son-In-Law: Libby and Glenn Way of Twin City, GA
Two Granddaughters: Rebecca Tapley (Chad) and Kathryn Horton (Rudy)
Three Great-grandsons: Logan, Luke and Evan Tapley
