He married the former Betty Gallagher who preceded him in death in 2004. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Roy and Ray, and a granddaughter, Carrie.
A veteran of World War II, he served his country in the U.S. Navy and then worked for Goodyear Aerospace as a precision tool grinder, retiring in 1974. Samuel lived most of his life in the Alliance area where he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed spending many of his winters at the Desert Shadows Resort in Phoenix, Ariz.
Surviving are his two sons; Ted (Eden) Allison of Beavercreek and Fred (Judy) Allison of Marion, five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
