Ruth C. Allison, 86
Chester -- Ruth C. Allison, 86, formerly of Indiana Avenue, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2002, at East Liverpool Convalescent Center #2. Mrs. Allison was born June 3, 1919, daughter of the late Harold Burton and Lydia Belle Cameron McElfresh. She worked at the former Knowles China in Newell and Dr. Graf's office in Chester. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Chester and a member of the Chester American Legion Auxiliary Post # 121 for more than 50 years. She was a lifetime member of the Chester VFW Auxiliary Post # 6450. Preceding her in death was her husband, C. Dwight Allison, and three sisters, Virginia Metch, Frances Woodruff and Ila Mae Freshwater. She is survived by her twin brother, Richard Mellfresh of Winston - Salem, N.C., and several great - and great - great - nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by Tom Arehart at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Arner Funeral Chapel, with burial at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery.
