Daniel Richard, the little threes weeks old son of Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Allison, died at their home
on Brazos Street Monday night of whooping cough. The inerment took place Tuesday afternoon at
Degraffenried cemetery. The heart stricken parents and five sisters have the Messengers fullest
sympathy and we would speak a word of cheer to them. It was a tender bud, blossoming on few days
until it was bitten down by the chilly ills of earth. Like a fragrant flower it brought happiness
and contentment to the home and through its blooming was of a short duration it was of that
sweetness that makes its exit the more saddening.
