Dr. Allison, a native of Pickton, died here Wednesday.
He was awarded the doctor of medicine degree from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Md. in 1932. He took undergraduate training at Southern Methodist University.
After serving from 1937-1942 as medical director for Southwestern Life Insurance Co., he entered the U. S. Navy as a lieutenant commander. During World War II he was stationed in the Pacific, and in 1945 returned to private practice in Dallas.
Survivors: a son, W. J. Allison, Jr. of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Elva Swiercynski of Miami, Fla., and Miss Laura Lee Allison of Binghampton, N. Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Duke Jackson of Shattuck, Okla., Mrs. Marjorie Bradshaw of Sulphur Springs, and Mrs. Violet Breen of Wichita Falls and two grandchildren.
