Benjamin F. Allison was the postmaster for Charlie, Clay Co., TX when on the evening of Nov. 20, 1920, as he was leaving his drugstore and post office for the day, he was held up at gunpoint and shot and killed. Dick Hamilton was convicted to 15 years in prison for his murder.
His wife married James Willis Pinkerton. Funeral home record, obituary and death certificate all show his wife was buried in Crowell, Texas but she is buried beside her second husband.
