WESSINGTON SPRINGS: Mrs. Della (Hoy) Allinson, 100, died Saturday at Jerauld County Memorial Hospital.
Della was born Cordella A. Hoy, Nov. 6, 1875, in Henry County, Ohio, the daughter of Levi & Almira (Whitright) Hoy. She married Ernest A. Allinson at Wauseon, Ohio, November 1914, and came to South Dakota to live at Gary. They farmed there until 1927, when they moved to Reseda, California. After her husbands death in 1956, Mrs. Allinson continued to live in Reseda until April 1968, when she returned to South Dakota to live at Wesley Acres, at Mitchell, until her health no longer permitted.
Survivors include one step-daughter, Mrs. Frank (Jessie) Balvin, Wosley; daughter-in-law, Mrs. E.H. Allinson, Balaton, Minnesota; three grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Mrs. Allinson's church in Reseda, California later in February. Mr. and Mrs. Balvin will accompany the remains to California.
Local arrangements were announced by Brooks Funeral Chapel, Huron and Wosley.
