Services for J. C. Alley were held Saturday afternoon at the Baptist church with Rev. James Wright officiating. Mr. Alley died suddenly March 1. John Clifford Alley was born in Beva, Indiana, April 10, 1878 and came to Stroud in 1900.
His wife, Bessie, preceeded him in death May 30, 1961.
Survivors include one son, Leo Glen Alley, Stroud; two brothers, Norman and Ross Alley, Stroud; one sister, Mary Celby of Bethany, Mo.; a stepson, W. E. Payne of Houston, Texas; step daughter, Mrs. Roy Broomfield of Pomona, Calif.; and ten grandchildren.
Burial was in the Stroud Cemetery.
