Arthur Wade "Sam" Aller, 62, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Aller was born Oct. 12, 1947, in Tarrs, the son of the late Edgar and Ruth (Overly) Aller. Mr. Aller served in the Army. He had been employed by the former Hostoffer Meat Packing Company, Mt. Pleasant Sewage Department, Depalma Plumbing & Heating and most recently had retired from the Mt. Pleasant Borough Street Department. Sam enjoyed hunting and loved collecting everything. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 43 years, Rita Rae (Grosser) Aller; his son, Arthur W. Aller Jr. and his wife, Kellie, of Norvelt; and by his daughter, Kelly Orischak and her husband, John, of Ligonier. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Arthur John, Shawn, Jordan, Abby, Hannah and Gavin Aller, Nathan Poole Jr. and Alexis, Madilynn and Kaden Orischak; and sister, Dixie Null, of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his brothers, Berle, Edgar and Harry Aller. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Dale L. Porterfield officiating. Interment with full military rites, accorded by the American Legion Post 446, will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Sam's family, c/o the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home.
