MOTHER OF D. B. ALLEN DIES IN WISCONSIN
Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes M. Allen, whose death occurred at Dodgeville Wis., March 15, was held at Pine City, Minn., Saturday March 18th at the Swanson Funeral Chapel with Rev. John R. Miller officiating. The pall bearers were Prosper Noys, Walter Blancherd. Jay Moulton, Art Eiffler, Harry String and Sam Marty. Burial was at Henriette, Minn., beside her husband.
Agnes M. Heath was born at Elk River Minn., Oct. 12th 1862. In 1882 she went to North Dakota. settling in Barrie Township in Richland County where she taught school untilher marriage to Otis A. Allen,which occurred at Walcott, N. D, July 27th, 1885. Mr. Allen preceded her in death on Nov. 20th, 1936. She leaves to mourn her passing six children, Mrs. Harvey Smith, Walcott, N. D., Mrs. William Whitford, Dodgeville, Wis., D. B. Allen, Walcott, N. D. Mrs. Stanley Case, DeLamere, N. D. George H. Allen, Elk River, Minn. and Frank O. Allen, Rush City, Minn., one sister. Mrs. Georgia Knuppenberg, Dawson, Neb, nineteen grand children and twenty-three great grandchildren. Mrs. Allen was one of the pioneer mothers of the Barrie community, a ommunity noted for its hospitality and worthy contributions to the development of North Dakota.
