The remains of Mrs. Elizabeth Armstrong, whose death occurred at Osceola yesterday morning at 4:00 a. m. arrived in this city last evening on passenger No. 2, of the Burlington and were taken to the undertaking rooms of John Lankford. The casket was accompanied by Dr. G. T. Armstrong, son of decedent, at whose home Mrs. Armstrong's demise took place, also by Doctor Armstrong's wife. Funeral services Were conducted this afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the Central Church of Christ by the pastor, Rev. Sherman Hill, and interment was made at Oakland cemetery.
Mrs. Armstrong, the daughter of James Allen, was born in Shenandoah Valley, West Virginia, April 17, 1832, and at her death was aged 74 years, 8 months and 1 day. She was the widow of the late John L. Armstrong. Her death was due to diabetes after a year's illness. Mrs. B. Fenton, of this city, was a sister to Mrs. Armstrong and other relatives reside here.
