Mrs. Clara Gardner Blount, 86, died Monday evening at Baptist Village after an extended illness.

A native of Ware County, Georgia and a daughter of the late William Cline Gardner and Myra Mae Thomas Gardner; ; also preceded in death by her husband of the late Ernest Long (E. B.) Blount ; a son, Ernest Blount, Jr. and daughter, Jeanette Blount Sowell.

She was a lifelong resident of Waycross , a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church.

Survived by her son, Thomas Ernest Blount (wife Marlene) of Waycross;
seven grandchildren,

one brother, Jim Gardner of Waycross;
and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church following burial into Oakland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Music Funeral Home
