Mrs. Amanda Allen a former resident of this town, died at the home of her son-in-law, J. F. Adams, at Buffalo, May 18. Her age was 78 years. Mrs. Allen's maiden name was Amanda Bolton, being a daughter of the late James H. Bolton, and was the third child of his family of 10 children. She leaves four sisters, viz: Mrs. T. H Yale and Mrs. A. C. Chapin, of Leicester; Mrs. A. E Starr of Buffalo; Mrs. Alvira Sharpsteen of Lanisng, Mich. One son and one daughter preceded her to a better home. Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. Adams in Buffalo, with Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Relatives from Perry and vicinity who attended the furneral were: Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Yale, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Chapin, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Curtis, Miss Edith Bottsford, Earl and Imogene Sharpsteen, P. S, Bolton, Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Bolton.
