A native of Cherokee County, she was a daughter of the late James Andrew and Mary Magdalene Jones Allen. She was a retired cook at Hiawassce Dam School, where she had worked for many years. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Lexie Wood of Oollewah, Tenn.; and a brother, Ernest Allen of Aiken, S.C.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy. The Rev. Hadley Shields will officiate. Burial will be in Shoal Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
