Golda Louise Allen left this earth on August 26, 2004 surrounded by loving nieces and nephews who adored her. She was born on January 26, 1919 to Thomas Warren and Harriet Margaret Smith Allen in Charleston, Utah. Golda was the 10th of 11 children. She grew up on a ranch where the Deer Creek Reservoir is now. She loved to ride horses and swim in the river. Golda spent many hours entertaining others on her accordion. She loved family gatherings and would share her homemade candy with family and friends. Genealogy was one of her passions. Golda attended the LDS Business College and received a secretarial degree. Her work experience included the State Capital Beneficial Life Company and the Wasatch County Agency. Golda was an active member of the LDS Church and loved serving in many positions including the choir, as a stake missionary, and as a junior Sunday school teacher. Her favorite years were spent living in Midway with her sister Marie VanWagoner, and loved the friends she made there. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Comfort Care Hospice and the Art City Nursing and Rehab Center for their loving care. Funeral services held Wed., September 1, 2004 in the Midway Fourth Ward Chapel, 165 North Center, Midway. Interment will be in the Draper Cemetery. Services under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
