Georgia Adell Allen, 100 died on Friday, October 11, 2013, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, November 7, 1912 in Weakley County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Lidge Griffin and the late Minnie Kinzie Griffin.
Mrs. Allen was a homemaker. She was a Pentecostal by faith.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Bro. Carl Southerland officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 AM until service time at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by four sons, Grady Allen of Obion, Tennessee, Cecil Junior Allen of Newbern, Tennessee. James R. Allen of RoEllen, Tennessee and Norman Franklin Allen of Union City ,Tennessee; one daughter, Hilda Faye Curtis of Rone Oak, Virginia; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Cecil Allen; a son, Joe Allen and a grandson, Tony Allen.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Garrison, Noel Allen, Paul Booker, Danny Allen, Jacob Allen and Grady Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robin Allen and Ricky Garrison.
