Mrs. Helen Allen, 82, of 18 Perine St.
died Sunday (Mar. 1,1981) in the Livingston
County Skilled Nursing Facility
at Geneseo.
A native and life resident of
Dansville, she was the widow of John
J. Allen. She was a retired employee of
Craig Developmental Center at
Sonyea. Mrs. Allen was a communicant
of St. Mary's Church and of its
Rosary Society. She also was a
member of the Civil Service
Employees Association.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs.
Mary Kay Kennell of Dansville, Mrs.
Patricia Hainsworth of Victor, Mrs.
Joan Barber of Spokane, Wash., Mrs.
Frances Alabama of Beaver Falls,
Pa.; a brother, David Swift of East
Rochester; three sisters, Mrs. Esther
Bennett of Mt. Morris, Mrs. Mary
Mahoney of Dansville and Mrs.
Catherine O'Meara of Pompano
Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren.
A prayer service in the Chamberlin
Funeral Home Tuesday morning was
followed by Mass of Christian Burial
in St. Mary's Church. Burial was in St.
Joseph's (sic) Cemetery, Mt. Morris.
Memorial contributions may be
made to the Skilled Nursing Facility
summer outdoor equipment fund.
