Carolyn S. Allen of Mitchell, IN, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on March 14, 1938, she was the daughter of Paul and Bonnie (Talbott) Edwards. She married Kenneth L. Allen on July 15, 1956, and he survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Susan L. Backherms of Mitchell, IN; her mother, Bonnie Chestnut of Mitchell, IN; her father, Paul Edwards of Mitchell, IN; one half sister, Paula G. Parsons of Mitchell, IN; and one granddaughter.
She had been owner and operator of the Family Store and had been employed with Home Health Care. She was a 1956 graduate of Huron High School and was a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.
Services for Sue Allen will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 19th, at the Chastain Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Bechtel officiating. Burial will follow in Talbott Cemetery.
