BRIGHAM CITY - Our dear, son, brother and friend, Mark Allen left us to return to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 6, 1995 from his home in Brigham City, UT.

Born in Brigham City August 27, 1963, Mark was raised in American Fork, UT; Ahwaz, Iran; and Lakewood, CO before returning to Brigham City.

Mark was active in the LDS Church, servlng as an Elder in the Brigham City LDS 20th Ward. He was also an active scout who achieved the rank of Eagle.

From an early age, Mark displayed a great love for art and architecture. His talent was recognized in these areas by the many awards he received throughout his life. At the age of 11, Mark won first Prize in a Coiorado Statewide art contest. As a high school senior, he received awards for Outstanding Achievement in the fieid of Art and Architectural Drawing and was the 1981 Sterling Scholar from Box Elder High School in the field of Visual Arts. Mark continued his education by completing two years of coursework in art and architecture
at Weber State University.

Mark, in Partnership with Steve Rioka, founded R.A. Wicker Imports in Sandy, UT and later moved their business to Los Angeles, CA. Mark returned to Utah in 1989 to continue his schooling as well as run his own decorating business.

All who knew Mark realized the great joy brought to him by his plants and flowers. As a result of Mark's efforts, his Parent's yard won the Kiwanis Yard of the Month award in July 1992.

Mark will always be lovingly remembered and missed by his parents, David M. and Ione Harper Allen, Brigham City, UT, his brother and sister-in-law, Ronald B and Tifany Clark Allen, Guatemala, his sister Becky I. Allen, Denver, CO, his grandmother, Mrs. David (Athalie) Allen, Brigham City, UT and his many caring friends. Mark has joined three of his grandparents: Thomas and Louise Coombs Harper, Garland, UT; and David E. Allen, Brigham City, UT.

Friends were encouraged to call Monday at Olsen-Myers Mortuary, 2O5 South First East, Brigham City, UT and Tuesday at the Brigham City 20th Ward chapel.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 11, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the 20th Ward Chapel, conducted by Mark's Bishop, Cyril Welch.

Interment is in the Brigham City Cemetery.
