Mr.Allen a grocery merchant,was a native of Anderson County and spent all of his life in this section.he was March 20,1917,a son of Mrs.Alice Gunter Allen and the late Charlie Allen.He was of the Presbyterian faith and a veteran of World War 11.
Survivors;his mother of Anderson;widow,Mrs.Hattie Whitlock Allen of the home,a daughter Gail A. Tucker,two Brothers- James C.Allen of Anderson and Charles Allen of Pendleton,two sisters; Mrs.Melvin Arnold and Mrs. Paul Huckaby both of Anderson and one grand-child.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday at the chapel of the McDougald Funeral Home with the Rev.Charles O.Ferguson and Rev.George Pickard officiating.Burial will be in the New Silver Brooke Cemetery
