Macon, GA- Jessie Janet Allen, 84, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at The Oaks at Peake Assisted Living.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Ricky Allen will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2:00 p.m. to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

They suggest that those who wish make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association,886 Mulberry Street, Macon 31201 or Homestead Hospice, 500 Osigian Blvd., Suite 300, Warner Robins GA 31088.

Mrs. Allen, a lifelong resident of Macon, was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Jessie Brown Hill. She was a graduate of A. L. Miller High School. Mrs. Allen grew up in Second Baptist Church and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Pathfinders Sunday School. She enjoyed being a part of the "InTouch Club" and Mr. and Mrs. Club. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved cooking and taking care of her family.

Survivors include those she loved most, her husband, James Arthur Allen of Macon; four daughters, Susan A. (Mel) Pyles of Signal Mountain, TN, Sharon Allen of Macon, Sylvia A. (Doug) Wiltsee of Ormond Beach, FL and Sheryl Allen of Macon; her beloved grandchildren, Tiffany Sheppard Poole, Derek Mullis, Brandon Pyles and Lisa Wiltsee; her much loved great grandchildren, Davidson and Abram Poole and Michaela Mullis; and several nieces and nephews.

Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of arrangements.
