The 1900 and 1910 US Censuses of the William L. Allen household shows both William and wife Minnie. In the year 1900 the couple had been married but a few months. In the census of 1910, Minnie Allen stated she had given birth to one child and that no children had survived to 1910. The little infant girl died at the age of 11 days.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen had no other children, as evidenced by subsequent censuses in 1920 and 1930. On Mrs. Allen's death in 1958, there were no surviving children, parents or siblings to inherit any real or personal property she may have possessed at the time of her death.
