CORINTH — A memorial service for Charles Ray Allen I, 84, of Corinth, a retired principal, will be held at a later date. He died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, in Corinth. McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Allen was a retired school principal, farmer and accountant. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Kossuth United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Eudora Roy Allen; his parents, Charles Alfis and Mary Ursula Sherard Allen; and one sister, Rubye Allen Cunningham.
Survivors include one son, Charles "Chip" Ray Allen II (Marcy Elizabeth Carston Allen) of Sugarland, Texas; and two grandchildren, Nathan Ray Allen and Joshua Moore Allen.
Memorials may be made to Kossuth United Methodist Church, the American Heart Association or a charity of choice.
