Anna was an allied member of John and Betty More's Jean line. She was the daughter of Frederick Elias Babbitt and Mary Emily Yetman Babbitt. Anna was raised at Newark, New Jersey where her father was a clothing cutter and later a foreman of clothing. At this place, in 1910, Anna was an insurance office stenographer. She married to Nelson James Allaben on 30 October 1912 at Newark. They made their home first at Boston, Massachusetts where her husband was a travelling salesman with Manning, Maxwell, and Moore, Inc. They relocated to Morristown, New Jersey about 1920 where Anna was a shop milliner and her husband a salesman. Anna and Nelson were the parents of one child, Hope Virginia Allaben.
